Patrick Ewing was the first overall pick in the 1985 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks when he came out of Georgetown University. Ewing played in the league for seventeen years, fifteen of which he played for the Knicks as well as one year with the Magic and one with the Sonics. At Georgetown, Ewing won the 1983-84 Final Four Most Outstanding Player Award, and the 1984-85 National Player of the Year Award. Once drafted into the NBA Ewing was an eleven time All-Star.In 2008 Ewing was selected to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
